China's Urban Air Mobility technology platform company EHang’s EH216-S passenger-carrying pilotless electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, or eVTOL, has obtained a production certificate.
The certificate issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, or CAAC, is the first of its type in the global eVTOL industry, establishing clear guidelines and documentation for the production procedure of the air taxi. The aircraft has obtained three key licenses including the world's first Type Certificate, Standard Airworthiness Certificate and Production Certificate. It's ready to begin mass production and commercial operations.
